The 1968 Ford FT40 Gulf/Mirage Lightweight Racing car set a new record in the U.S. for highest selling price for a vehicle at auction!

After nine years of sponsorship by Dodge, Penske racing has decided to switch back to Ford sponsorship, which the group was under from 1995-2002. As team owner Roger Penske explains, "We appreciate the long-term commitment that Ford has made to Penske Racing and for their continued support of the sport."¹ Though Penske notes that it shared many memories and wins with Dodge, the team has decided to move its commitment back to its old friend, Ford.
