Veterans Ford

Ford is taking yet another giant technological leap ahead of its peers. On October 13, the American automaker announced that they've developed a suite of health and wellness services aimed at helping people manage chronic diseases and disorders en route. To attract even more attention to the ground-breaking project, Ford also took the podium at the "Health and Wellness Connectivity Services on the Go" panel discussion, at last week's Wireless Health 2011 Conference

In 2010 Ford launched its MyKey technology and the response ever since has been overwhelmingly positive. Ford MyKey, for those not familiar with the technology allows parent to limit their teenage sons' and daughters' top speeds (and thereby fuel efficiency), dissuade them from calling their friends while behind the wheel by disengaging Ford cars' Bluetooth capabilities, control stereo volume, and set a safety-belt reminder that can only be deactivated by buckling up.
