With these improved efficiency numbers, drivers could save over $1,000 in five years' time at today's fuel prices vs. the Fusion's midsize competitors. And, that's not all. The new Ford Fusion will provide drivers with several different engine types next year, so you're sure to find one that fits your driving style.

2013 Ford Fusion powertrain options include: a plug-in hybrid, a traditionally-aspirated four-cylinder engine, a hybrid, and two EcoBoost gasoline engines. Currently, there are two types of Fusion models available for the 2012 model year: the standard Ford Fusion and the Ford Fusion Hybrid.
