Here at Veterans Ford, conveniently located at 3724 Veterans Memorial Blvd Metairie, LA 70002, we can't wait to tell you about one of our favorite new vehicles on the lot: the 2013 Ford Explorer. You might think there isn't much to learn about this vehicle. After all, you've been hearing about its family-friendly attributes for several years now. For 2013, however, the Explorer is more powerful and appealing than ever before.
For 2013, the Ford Explorer comes in three trims: base (with a starting price of $28,870), XLT (with a starting price of $32,345), and Limited (with a starting price of $37,855). New features include: a new front-passenger knee airbag for all trims, a more-easily adjustable hated steering wheel, and a lane departure warning system for the Limited trim, and automatic high-beam control for the previously available xenon headlights. Overall, this year's Explorer boasts an upscale cabin, plenty of new high-tech features, superb riding and handling balance, and a fuel-efficient turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder (optional). The standard engine is a 3.5-liter V6 flex-fuel engine that produces 290 horsepower and works in tandem with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but 4WD is available and includes Ford Terrain Management System with four selectable driving modes.
These are only a few admirable aspects of the 2013 Ford Explorer, so if you'd like more information, be sure to contact Veterans Ford online with any questions you may have. Or, simply stop by for a test drive. We'll be happy to show you what the new Explorer can do!
