If you haven't yet discovered the 2012 Ford Fusion, you're missing out! The award-winning new Fusion has garnered fans across the world with its comfortable ride and engaging handling since its first appearance on the market in 2005. For the 2013 model year, the Ford Fusion is back again, and its ready to tackle its biggest competitor, the Toyota Camry.
The new Ford Fusion was revealed on January 9 at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show (in both regular gasoline, plug-in, and hybrid variants) to much adoration. The new Fusion will feature a more a more aerodynamic style and aggressively- shaped diamond grille. The hybrid model will achieve around 47 mpg city, while the plug-in hybrid, named the Fusion Energi is expected to reach the equivalent of over a hundred mpg. The Energi's 1.6-liter, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine will get 37 mpg on the highway, and a 2.0-liter engine will be offered in a performance-focused variant.
The new Fusion will have a more luxurious cabin, as well as greater leg room due to thinner front seats. Ford also promises better constructed, softer materials inside. The My Ford Touch screen system and Ford Sync voice-control infotainment system are optional. A lane-keeping system safety feature and a blind-spot warning system will come standard, as will an automatic parallel parking system, and a cross traffic alert system. Although pricing for the 2013 Ford Fusion hasn't yet been disclosed, Veterans Ford will be sure to alert you when it is, so stay tuned here for more updates.
